GENERAL
SHOT INFORMATION
TIME:

Each
session lasts up to 2 hours depending on the baby. This
allows plenty of time for feeding and settling. An average
shoot will involve at least one feed and hopefully putting
your baby to sleep.
WHAT
AGE:

When
exactly to bring your baby is a personal choice, each
stage has its own special magic. At two weeks old you
get that very newborn look which fades around week 4.
At 12 weeks the smiles are more plentiful but there
is less chance of sleep. It also may depend on how your
settling in together or on paternity leave. We love
the real newborn look but only do up to 12 weeks old.
This special time can get away from you so don't miss
out.
WHAT
TO BRING...

• Black clothes for both parents (no
logos, buttons).
• Milk for your baby (if bottle fed,
please ensure you bring more than needed just in case).
Photo shoots can be strange and alien to babies but
milk is not.
• Dummies (if your baby uses one bring
a few as they are likely to be dropped).
• Change of clothes for parents, especially
if your planning on not going straight home afterwards.
HOW TO PREPARE YOUR BABY:

Ideally
your baby should have a sleep just before coming, including
the car ride, then awake when you arrive wanting a feed.
There is time in the shoot for a feed so please don't
disturb your baby's sleep to feed before coming (an
overtired baby is harder to fix than a hungry one).
The exception to this is if your baby is a really slow
feeder taking over half an hour or if your baby is already
awake. Your baby will be most relaxed after a decent
sleep and a feed. That's the theory, however, your baby
will have it's own plans on the day. Just keep the day
simple and gentle- no other outings or visitors before
the shoot.
If you think your baby doesn't like being naked, it
might be a good idea to get him/her a bit used to it,
in a warm environment, before coming. Most babies don't
mind being naked but hate the dressing and undressing
part.
BOOKING
DEPOSIT:

When
you book your appointment we will take a booking deposit.
This is to ensure that if you need to reschedule any
of your appointments that you give us 48 hours notice
